Residents of Ncheka Ward in Malambo Constituency of Mambwe District have bemoaned the continued Human animal conflict in the area.
Area ward Councilor Benson Phiri has told Feel free news that this conflict becomes rife in the rainy season as farmers are forced to harvest their crops prematurely.
The civic leader says the locals are hunger stricken because of the losses they have suffered from the damage caused by the animals.
He has since assured the residents that he will engage the department of national parks and wildlife and other co-operating partners to ensure that farmers are protected.
