Opposition political parties in Eastern Province have complained of the impartiality of the police in their execution of duty during this campaign period.
National Restoration Party NAREP Chipata Central Constituency Candidate Mercy Mbewe has told Feel Free news in a telephone interview that the police in the province have been unfair in that they opt to disadvantage the opposition from reaching out to the electorates.
She has cited the incident where NAREP President Stephen Nyirenda was deterred from entering Eastern to meet party structures.
Meanwhile, Miss Mbewe has called on the Electoral Commission of Zambia ECZ to ensure that all political players are accorded equal opportunities to send their campaign messages to the voters.
She has since called on the voters in Chipata Central Constituency to vote for her and NAREP in the 12th August polls in order to have a listening leadership with vibrant ideas.
