Wishing Hichilema ill health is unacceptable, evil – Kings

GOSPEL artiste Kings Malembe Malembe, whose real name is Mumbi Chisenga, has condemned the growing culture of wishing harm or ill health on President Hakainde Hichilema, describing it as wrong, dangerous and unpatriotic.

Kings says Zambians must avoid associating with individuals who celebrate or promote messages of harm against the Head of State as such conduct goes against moral, spiritual and national values.

“Wishing harm to President Hakainde Hichilema is unacceptable and should not be entertained,” Kings said.

“In reality, doing so may have the opposite effect, prompting God to further elevate such an individual.”

The gospel musician noted that Zambia has in the past suffered significant economic and national setbacks following the loss of sitting presidents and such experiences should never be taken lightly or repeated through careless speech and social media behaviour.

He observed that some social media users have invested time and energy in wishing the President poor health or even death, describing the trend as an “evil culture” that has followed every former president.

“This is not an isolated incident. We did so to all our former presidents, and I pray we put an end to it,” he said.

“Friends, we must never again suffer the loss of a sitting president as a nation.”

Kings explained that citizens have a duty to pray for those in leadership rather than curse them, regardless of political differences.

He criticised the tendency to treat politics as a game, arguing that leadership is a serious responsibility centred on service to humanity.

“When we started referring to leadership or politics as a game, we legitimised the manipulation of one another. Leadership should never be perceived as a game, it is a higher calling to serve humanity,” stated Kings.

He called on Zambians to promote unity, goodwill and respect, urging the nation to wish the President and all leaders good health and strength.

“We wish our Republican President good health. Let us wish each other well, not evil,” the musician wrote.https://kalemba.news/…/wishing-hichilema-ill-health-is…/
