Still in Mambwe District a civic leader has expressed worry that some bags of maize may go to waste if the food reserve agency FRA delays to deliver the empty grain sacks for repackaging.
Mphomwa ward councilor Elisa Sakala told feel free news after visiting Mphomwa FRA satellite depot that the current situation is unpleasant as many farmers are stuck with their maize awaiting the empty grain sacks.
Mr Sakala says that FRA needs to come in quickly to help the farmers and to avoid the wastage of maize.
Meanwhile another farmer from Kasenengwa district William Zulu has expressed concern with the continuous stay among farmers in different satellite depots in the area
